UWG Sports is in full swing in late-September with many different events happening for the athletic programs.
Football: A surging UWG football team dives back into conference play on the road against North Alabama Saturday, Oct. 1. UWG is ranked third in the Nation among D-2 schools.
Men’s and Women’s Cross Country: The UWG Men’s Cross Country team is headed to Newnan for the SCAD-Atlanta 8k race on Friday, Sept. 30.
Men’s Golf: After an impressive third place finish in Dahlonega at the UNG Triway Match, The Wolves suffered to a 17 place finish at the Kiawah Island Invitational in South Carolina. UWG looks to build on their season in Columbus, GA at the AFLAC-Cougar Invitational on Sept. 25.
Volleyball: The Lady Wolves look to improve on their season at home on Tuesday, Sept. 27 against North Alabama. First Volley is set for 7 p.m. in the Coliseum.
Soccer: The UWG soccer team is set to journey on a three-game road trip with Gulf South matches against Valdosta State, Delta State, and Mississippi.
Women’s Golf: The wolves are heading to Myrtle Beach Sunday, Oct. 2 to take place in the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate tournament. The tournament will last Sunday through Tuesday, Oct. 4.
