“A Sign of Affection” Warms this Cold Spring— A Romance with Sign Language and Cultural Exchange

Amongst the spring anime of 2024, “A Sign of Affection” looks to be the cozy romance of the season for not just anime fans, but also a much wider audience. With its pilot episode airing on Jan. 6 on Crunchyroll, the story follows Yuki, a deaf college-aged girl, and Itsuomi, a trilingual backpacker who spent a good portion of his life living in Germany and visiting many different countries.

Saying Farewell to “Sex Education”

On Sept. 21, the Netflix original comedy series “Sex Education” came to an end with its fourth and final season. The series premiered in January 2019. The first season follows Otis Milburn as he deals with his lack of sexual experience but overwhelming knowledge on the matter due to his mother’s profession as a sex therapist. 

The Genius of Boygenius

On Wednesday, Oct. 11, I had the pleasure of attending an early release listening party for Boygenius’ new EP “the rest” that was set to release on the following Friday, Oct. 13. The listening party took place at Criminal Records in Atlanta, GA, and was open to all.
