The Dream City Market will be returning this Sunday, Oct. 15 with its third pop-up shop at the Venue on Cedar in Carrollton, Georgia. This market will consist of over 20 local vendors who will be selling vintage clothing, vinyl records, locally handmade art and goods, antiques and more.

The 8th Biennial Alumni Art Exhibition, a display of alumni ability and originality, has the art community at the University of West Georgia vibrating with anticipation. The selection process will be overseen by respected Juror Bruce Bobick, a retired chair of the Department of Art and Emeritus professor at UWG.

The University of West Georgia recently announced that they will be moving up to the NCAA Division-I level as a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN), effective beginning in the 2024-25 school year, and the university made the move official with a signing ceremony in The Coliseum on Tuesday, Sept. 12 in front of a sizable crowd of students, community leaders and alumni.
On the third floor of the Ingram Library, just to the right of the elevators are the offices of the university’s subject librarians. Well-versed in their assigned subjects, these individuals help students at any step during the research process on both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The University of West Georgia is officially moving to Division One to compete in the Atlantic Sun Conference. On Sept. 8, the university announced the move after the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia voted on it. Our transition to Division One will elevate not only athletics but the university as a whole.
UWG’s Center for Student Involvement and Inclusion is offering students and faculty several sessions of Safe Zone training, a workshop built to teach students about lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer identities, gender and sexuality this fall.
The Center of Student Involvement and Inclusion kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month just one day early, the festivities began Sept. 15, with Loteria Night.
